Well if the title of this is any indication… Today’s Post will be full of #foodporn from my Sunday evening in kitchen!!

My New Years Resolution is to bring my lunch to work. Sunday & Monday evenings tend to be my nights to prep meals for the week. I’ve always struggled with cooking for one and having left overs for days, so I’m trying to make better decisions on meal planning.

Working in the city I’ve found that lunch tends to run you about $10. Quick math will show you that’s $50/week and $200/month… $2,400 per year. On food… #seriously

Ok to get things started I always blend up shakes to start my day and another to have as a quick weapon against those mid afternoon snack cravings. I normally blend my snack shake in the morning, but my special chop everything into bits Nutribullet blade is smoked 😦 so I wanted to test out my plain old blenders capabilities. I have to say I’m pretty impressed that it was able to handle the full slices of fruit that I threw in. Warning the following photo although not visually appealing is delicious!

What’s in the Juice?
1 Apple
1 Pear
1/4 Fresh Cut Pineapple
1 handful of Spinach
2 table spoons of that super food mix
1 handful of Ice

I don’t usually put powder in my fruit shake but I’m really trying not to be wasteful and I’m sick of looking at the bag in my cabinet… Shake is now in the freezer staying fresh for tomorrow…

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this to you, but I am obsessed with Garlic! The other day I went to the supermarket and there was no fresh Garlic! anywhere 😦 The only garlicky thing I found was an older mesh packet of cloves. When I got it home I realize it had sprouts on it, wtf cue the genius idea sound effect… Garlic plants! I did a little January gardening after all it is only 20 degrees today, why not!!

While I had my selves rolled up I also decided to repot my little Prim Rose plant that was gifted to me for my bday. Tada

Dinner and my meal for the first part of the week will consist of cleaning out my veggie draw! I threw together a salad and threw together this salad. Yes, there are Craisins in there.

Followed up by the main course of some fresh Pasta, sautéed Onions, Red Pepper, Scallions, Tomatoes and a little oil mmmmm!

Yes, I also packed in an insane Team Crossfit session at Mecca… I can not believe I survived this!

We finished in 31:45 2nd best in the box 🙂 #beast
